Making a start

Today we were going to start on the first coat but quickly realised that there were a lot of ‘patches’ that needed covering first, so we couldn’t break out the rollers quite yet. We’ve also discovered that we actually have three or four holes in the pool so we had to fill those first and let them properly set overnight. Whoops!

Here’s just one wall after filling the patches. It only took maybe half an hour and it doesn’t look like much (it looks quite messy, to be honest). We want the pool to be at a standard where we don’t want to have to repaint it or do any work on it so we’re trying to be as thorough as possible. On this photo you can clearly see the hole in the pool on the top right hand corner.
